Needing Happiness I started
to read your book "Taking Care of God". Grandpa gave it to my husband but
I felt like I need to read it too.

Philadelphia Story:
I remember driving back from
New Jersey into Philadelphia when I had a wonderful Taking Care of God Moment. As I came over the bridge I noticed
a gentleman with only one leg and crutches, holding out a big can collecting money. As I drove past him, he looked
me right in the eye and smiled at me. I smiled back quick but kept going for about two blocks. I was going to
keep on going, that was until I remember reading Rick's words about taking that extra step and the importance
of reaching out to our fellow brothers and sisters in this world. I made the decision to turn around and to give
him eleven dollars. Eleven is my lucky number and a beautiful universal one as well. I also made the
decision to give him a poem I wrote. When I pulled up next to him. I said, "Sir, do you believe
in the power of your smile? For I came back for you, because your smile made me smile. I also added a little
extra something in there." I handed him the money and the poem. His face lit up and he said to me, "God
bless you darling." My heart filled with joy. As I pulled away I knew God was smiling at us both. Every
time now I cross that bridge I stop and give this gentleman some money. Last time I stopped I asked him if he
liked the poem I gave him. He said very much so. Thank you Rick and God for reminding me of the

$Finally$ I got your book and started to read it the same day. You have already
helped change my life. My favorite chapter, I mean moment, was when you wrote about the million dollar question.
I needed to read that. As for a Taking Care of God moment, I now realize that I have had many of them over the course
